Results of Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023
The Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023 (AMO2023) was conducted by the Assam Academy of Mathematics across 48 centres all over the state on 20th August 2023. A record number of more than 7000 candidates participated in the prestigious state-level competition that was conducted in three categories, namely, Category I (Classes V-VI), Category II (Classes VII-VIII) and Category III (Classes IX-XI).
The result of AMO2023 has been declared on 15th November 2023. The merit list in each category comprises students eligible for ranks, certificates of merit and certificates of appreciation.
In Category I, the first rank holder will receive the Shanti Ram Das Memorial Trophy. The other four rank holders will receive the Praneshwar Kalita Memorial Cash Award of Rs.2500. The first rank holder in Category III will receive Dr. Subratananda Duwara Memorial Gold Medal and the second rank holder will receive Prof. Bapukrishna Choudhury Memorial Cash Award of Rs.2000.00. The topper of each category is eligible for Prof. Durgeswar Das Memorial cash award of Rs.1500. All the rank holders in all the categories will also receive books contributed generously by Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, New Delhi.
From the Assam Academy of Mathematics, all the five rank holders of Category I will receive cash awards of Rs.3000.00, all the five rank holders of Category II will receive cash awards of Rs.4000.00, and all the five rank holders of Category III will receive cash awards of Rs.5000.00.
The awards will be distributed to the rank holders on National Mathematics Day, December 22, 2023. The venue of the prize distribution will be notified later. The Assam Mathematics Olympiad is an initiative by the Assam Academy of Mathematics to identify mathematical talent among the students of Assam and to encourage them to pursue their passion for mathematics. Several training programs are also organized under the aegis of AAM to nurture the young talents and prepare them for the national level Olympiads IOQM and INMO. The AAM family offers best wishes to all the participants of AMO 2023 for their keen interest in mathematics and hopes that the interest will keep growing.

Rank holders and candidates eligible for certificates of merit and certificates of appreciation
Update:
1. All rank holders and candidates eligible for Merit and Appreciation Certificates (from Guwahati A, B, C, D) of AMO2023 will be presented during the National Mathematics Day celebration on December 22, 2023, at Handique Girls' College, Guwahati.
2. AMO2023 Merit and Appreciation certificates (other than Guwahati centres) will be distributed to respective centre coordinators by December 22nd. Participants eligible for these certificates can contact their respective centre coordinators by December 22nd for collection.
