The prestigious Madhava Mathematics Competition 2024 (MMC2024) for undergraduate Mathematics students will be held on January 7, 2024 (12.00 noon to 3.00 PM). The competition is named after the Indian mathematician Madhava of the fourteenth century and is organized jointly by Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana, Pune, and Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, TIFR, Mumbai. The competition is partially funded by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Govt. of India. Based on the performance in MMC2023, eight students from Assam were selected for a cash award of Rs. 2000.00 sponsored by a US-based Shraman Foundation. In Assam, the competition is being conducted in association with the Assam Academy of Mathematics at six centres: Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Kokrajhar, North Lakhimpur, Silchar, and Tezpur. The deadline to register for the Assam region has been extended to December 10, 2023. Spot registration at the Centre may be allowed subject to the availability of sufficient examination material at the Centre.

How to participate:
Interested institutions/students can choose any of the Centres and submit the completed registration form, including the fees of Rs.100/- per student, to the respective Centre Coordinator. The registration form is available with the centre coordinators.
