The Assam Academy of Mathematics has been conducting memorial lectures since 2016 in memory of the Late Shantiram Das in different parts of Assam.

This year, the 8^th Shantiram Das Memorial Lecture will be hoisted by the AAM Bongaigaon branch at Bongaigaon on 15^th November 2023.

Dr. Dilip Kumar Sarma, retd Head and Associate Professor of the Mathematics department of Cotton College (now Cotton University), will deliver the memorial lecture on the topic, “Euclid and Geometry”.
