Objectives and Vision of the Assam Academy of Mathematics

The primary objectives of the Assam Academy of Mathematics are:

* To promote and popularize mathematics among students and the general public.

* To support and encourage mathematical research and higher studies.

* To organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and Olympiads for students and teachers.

* To publish newsletters, journals, and books related to mathematics.

* To collaborate with national organizations to strengthen mathematics education in Assam.

The Academy envisions a future where mathematical thinking is deeply rooted in education, enabling young minds to develop analytical skills, logical reasoning, and creativity essential for personal and societal growth.

Organizational Structure

AAM is governed by an Executive Committee consisting of a President, Working President, Vice Presidents, General Secretary, Joint Secretaries, Treasurer, and Executive Members. The committee, comprised of dedicated educators, academicians, and mathematicians, oversees the planning and execution of all activities of the Academy. The Executive Committee is reformed every two years in the General Body Meeting held during the Annual Congress of the Academy.

The Assam Academy of Mathematics (AAM) has 24 branches across the state and about 1400 life members. Anyone who is interested in Mathematics and willing to contribute to society under the philosophy, aims, and objectives of the Academy is invited to join AAM through a membership registration process.
